Les Vergers Boiron Blackcurrant Purée is made from 100% French blackcurrants with no added sugar. Boiron primarily selects Noir de Bourgogne and Andega varieties grown in established French blackcurrant regions.

Flavour and Applications

Very dark burgundy and intensely aromatic, this purée combines vivid acidity with the fruit’s characteristic astringency. Noir de Bourgogne contributes distinctive blackcurrant-bud notes, while Andega adds floral and tannic nuances. Its texture is thick, grainy and slightly sticky.

Use it in mousses, crémeux, ganaches, cake inserts, fruit jellies, glazes, sorbets and ice creams, or add concentrated berry flavour to cocktails, mocktails and syrups. It also suits reductions, vinaigrettes and sauces for duck or game. Pair blackcurrant with pear, raspberry, blackberry, hazelnut, chestnut, vanilla, dark chocolate, black tea or fresh herbs.

I love this. I have made ice cream with it--beautiful colour, and made syrup to make a now bake cheesecake that was heavenly, not to mention fruit sauces. Going back for more. It is tart -sweet and silky smooth

Add a very nice taste to “berries”
