After grinding small amounts of flour for their personal use, the owners McKeown family decided in late 2013 to bring in a stone burr flour mill from Austria and started 1847 Stone Milling.
They try to source all their grains locally from Ontario farmers except some grains such as Kamut, which don’t grow well in Ontario climate. Those are sourced from Western Canada. All their grains are from Canadian farms and are always Certified Organic. Never bleached, never anything added, 100% natural.
