A masterpiece of Japanese rice cultivation, Yuki Tsubaki Koshihikari (雪椿魚沼産コシヒカリ特別栽培米) is among the most coveted and refined white rice varieties in the world. Grown in the snow-laden terroir of Uonuma, Niigata—Japan’s most celebrated rice-producing region—this rice embodies purity, craftsmanship, and culinary excellence.

The meltwater from Uonuma’s heavy winter snowfall filters through mineral-rich soil, nourishing a limited harvest of Koshihikari rice cultivated under the most exacting standards. From the preparation of the soil to the final polishing process—three times longer than typical rice—the entire production is designed to achieve exceptional flavour, texture, and appearance. Only 0.003% of Japan’s rice qualifies as Yuki Tsubaki, making this an extremely rare and artisan-grade offering.

Each grain is uniformly polished and pristine, with a soft translucence that signals purity. When cooked, the rice delivers a remarkable balance of fluffiness, elasticity, and gloss. Great texture, feel like small pearls in your mouth. No complain at all. Only complain is I do my make enough money to eat it every day.
