Kado Ichika

$49.95

The fine sieve woven in nylon is typically used to create textures of filaments in wagashi, such as that often seen in kinton.  This particularly small sieve is suitable to be carried in the ICHIKA tool bag, following you wherever your inspiration leads.

Diameter: 9cm; width: 3 inches; coarse mesh.  Net material: nylon.  Hand wash only.

Made in Japan.

Wagashi -- traditional Japanese sweets -- capture seasonality and imagery of nature in their aesthetics.  They are served before the bowl of matcha that concludes even the most elaborate kaiseki meal.  The specialty wagashi tools Gusta sources are from reputable makers.  They exhibit the craftsmanship that is respected also in wagashi making.

At Gusta Supplies, we curate our selection to reflect innovations and trends our customers appreciate. As much as we pride ourselves in providing ingredients and tools for your everyday kitchen needs, we also offer one-of-a-kind items hardly available in the market. We hope you find this as exciting as we do.

Six months to recieve order

I like the strainer but it took almost six months to receive it and there was almost no communication as to why. I understand items get back ordered but there should have been much better communication.

Dear Seth,

Thank you for letting us know of your concern. We definitely could have communicated better about the lead-time for items that takes long to get. My apologies for the wait you had to endure.

In the future, we envision more and more interest in the realm of wagashi beyond the proximity of Japan, and with the spread of the art, we will look forward to orders that can be placed more frequently, subsequently reducing the wait time.

We hope you will enjoy using the tool, and make a lot of beautiful wagashi and share the beauty of wagashi.

Warm regards,

Baron Hau
