This celadon blue tea whisk holder restores the contour of your bamboo whisk, and allows for it to dry well.
As a tea whisk is used -- moistened and agitated -- the bristles gradually change their direction according the whisk's movements. In order to bring back its original frothing capacity, the tea whisk can be placed into the holder when wet. Once dried, the bristles retains its shape conforming to the holder's shape, which is designed for optimized shear force for matcha whisking.
The holder we sell are Bankoyaki, or Banko ware, a type of porcelain-ceramic hybrid made in Japan.
