Silkimart white mat

Unfortunately this did not meet my expectations. I used it to bake cookies and they did not come off as easily as they should have.

Thank you Nabat for your comment! Depending on the water content of the cookie recipe, you may also consider using Silikomart airmats, the perforation on which allows the steam to escape and yields very even baking.

For moist items such as macarons and meringue, whether the cookies come off largely depends on whether the base is fully cooked, and what affects that include baking time, temperature, oven position, oven power, and perhaps most importantly, material of the baking tray on which the silicone mat sits.

Silicone, being a natural insulator, will take a bit more time to warm up compared to parchment paper. This additional time may also require considerations to lengthen baking time, increase temperature, or putting the tray on a lower rack.
