NAMISATO Kinako – Japanese Roasted Soybean Powder, Unsweetened, 1 kg

Namisato 株式会社波里

$40.00

NAMISATO Kinako is a traditional Japanese roasted soybean powder made from 100% Japanese-grown soybeans. Carefully roasted and finely ground, it has a warm, nutty aroma, mellow soybean flavour and smooth finish that pair especially well with Japanese sweets and pastry.

Kinako is traditionally sprinkled over warabi mochi, dango, ohagi, daifuku and other wagashi, often together with sugar or kuromitsu syrup. Because this kinako is completely unsweetened, you can adjust the sweetness and intensity to suit each recipe.

Its roasted flavour also works beautifully beyond traditional Japanese desserts. Incorporate it into cakes, cookies, bread, pastry cream, mousse, ganache, chocolate, ice cream or gelato, or blend it into milk, lattes, smoothies and yogurt.

Suggested applications

  • Coating warabi mochi, dango, daifuku and ohagi
  • Mixing into cakes, cookies, bread and pancake batter
  • Flavouring pastry cream, mousse, ganache and chocolate
  • Incorporating into ice cream, gelato and frozen desserts
  • Blending into kinako lattes, milk, smoothies and yogurt
  • Pairing with matcha, black sesame, red bean and kuromitsu

The generous 1 kg format is ideal for bakeries, cafés, restaurants, pastry kitchens and anyone who uses kinako regularly.

Ingredients: Kinako (soybeans)
