Made from tamise’ gold — also known as Dutch metal — these fine, shredded flakes are a brass alloy designed purely for decorative purposes. While they mimic the appearance of real gold, they are not recommended to be eaten and should be removed before consumption.
(Brass alloys contain copper and zinc, which are not food-safe in alloy form and should not be ingested.)
