The Clear PVC Cake Collar Roll is designed for extra-tall cakes, large-format entremets and complex layered desserts requiring greater containment during assembly. Measuring 6 inches (150 mm) high, it helps hold tall layers of mousse, cream, cake and soft fillings in place while the dessert chills or sets.

Supplied as a continuous 50 m roll, the clear 150-micron PVC collar can be cut to the required length for different cake diameters and dessert formats. The clear material keeps internal layers visible, making it useful for advanced pastry construction, custom cake assembly and display desserts.

For standard 8-inch round cakes, one 50 m roll can make approximately 75 extra-tall cake collars, bringing the material cost to about $0.85 per collar based on the current roll price. Actual yield may vary depending on overlap, trimming and cake size.

Best Uses for the 6-Inch Height

The 6-inch height is intended for extra-tall mousse cakes, large-format entremets, elaborate layered desserts and custom cakes requiring substantial height above the mould. It can also be trimmed when a project calls for a non-standard collar height.

How to Use

Measure and cut the required length and, when necessary, trim the roll to the desired height. Position the collar inside a cake ring or around the assembled dessert, allowing the ends to overlap slightly. Keep the collar supported during assembly and while the dessert chills or sets, then remove it carefully before final decoration or serving.
