At the end of the nineteenth century, pâtisserie chefs were making cakes as elaborate as Bavarian castles. So in 1887, Etienne Gobel opened a factory to produce copper & tin moulds in Paris. It didn't take long for Gobel to become one of the leaders in its field & by the end of the 1930s, they were selling over 2000 different products to the food industry & home bakers alike.
